Mural at Monroe Agricultural Center

The JAL students were invited by Gary and Tricia Dudley to create a mural at the Monroe Agricultural Center this past August. We created a pastoral scene that we painted on the side of a water cistern!

Turning Point Outreach

Thank you to our member Ainsley for planning a volunteer art workshop to serve the women and children at Turning Point. Turning Point helps women and children escape and recover from domestic violence situations. We had a great group of students and parents show up to do arts and crafts with the women and children. Everyone loved the art and was very appreciative of the workshop! You can see some of their creations to the right!

Mural Project

The students of the JAL helped welcome Kensington Elementary School students back to school by painting a large mural in the school's main hall recognizing Kensington's Mandarin immersion program.

The mural depicts the Kensington Knights mascot befriending a Chinese dragon to encourage learning about different cultures.

JAL students contributed over 40 service hours over a 3 day period to complete the mural prior to the start of the 2018-19 school year.
